Wairau River - Viognier Reserve, Marlborough
Fermented in seasoned French oak barrels, 80% fermented with cultured yeast and 20% went through wild fermentation. Full malolactic fermentation.
Poised, complex and elegant. This Viognier shows off lime marmalade, apricot, citrus zest and notes of pastry from malolactic fermentation. Balanced on the palate with good weight and mineral acidity. This wine has a lot of aging potential where it will gain more and more characteristics from the oak and lees but is drinking lovely now.
